Maxwell Alexander is the pen-name of Marc and Helen Vloeberghs. Marc Vloeberghs was born in Belgium, Europe.
He worked many years with United Nations in Africa and Asia. Marc has a strong Catholic background.
However, when he was working for the Food Agricultural Organization in Africa he became a Baha'i in 1972.
He left United Nations and worked in a worldwide Baha'i rural development project based in Panchgani, India. I
t is here that he met and married his Australian wife Helen Vloeberghs who was working as a health professional.
Marc and Helen pioneered to West Bengal, India where Marc was appointed as ABM. From India they pioneered to Papua New Guinea where Marc became Senior Lecturer Food Processing. He also was an ABM for East and West Sepik.
They left Papua New Guinea after 12 years and Marc worked for UNIDO as an international consultant in food processing in Sri Lanka, Nepal, Bhutan, Bangladesh, Myanmar, Cambodia and Indonesia.
After a short stay in Brisbane, Helen and Marc and their children Shirin, Maxwell and Alexander home front pioneered to rural Queensland.
